Pigeon Lake Medieval Faire and Artisan Market

Amadaya's Studio is thrilled and proud to be Hosting the first Annual Pigeon Lake Medieval Faire and Artisan Market !

It will be held August10&11 2024 at the Lakedell Agricultural grounds at Pigeon Lake Alberta.

​

This Family Event will feature many different happenings for all ages. Participation is also one of the exciting things that you will be able to and see.

Several different groups will be dressed in Period and will show you how they lived back then, from cooking, dressing, living, fighting and playing!

​

Story telling was a Big thing in those days and this Event will not lack in any of that. There will also be Heavy Armed Combat with Knights completely outfit in chainmail and steel armour, these fellows fight for REAL and compete for medals and bragging rights.

A Feast will be held Saturday evening that will be absolutely delicious and of course eaten by hand!

There will also be Contests for Best Period Dress for Children, Women and Men. Also a Faire King and Queen will be Chosen by ALL that attend!! To enter this contest, the couple need to be dressed in Period and comport themselves like the nobility they are portraying. This means that it is critical that you interact in a gracious and friendly manner with everyone you meet and greet. You will enjoy the events of the Faire and greet and chat with people as you go through the day. It is important to treat Everyone with kindness and courtesy and fun and that goes for all the event attendees, the Vendors and all the Volunteers because Everyone will be casting a vote to choose their Favourite couple to be Crowned King and Queen of the Faire!

The King and Queen will be Crowned at the Feast Saturday night and besides Bragging rights they will also be Presented with hand forged Crowns created just for them!!!!!

There will be lots to choose from in food vendors pleasing many different palates with their variety!!

I encourage Everyone to come dressed up and just have FUN and a great time!!!! You will see some amazing costumes and AMAZING things from the Medieval Groups attending!!

Let us NOT forget the Artisan Market!! I am choosing the finest Artisans in their field of craft for this event so be prepared to see some amazing and unique work!! 

Let us Also not forget one of the staple of all Crafters then, the Blacksmiths!!! There will be a Blacksmith's Row featuring LIVE forging by several Blacksmiths!!! They will be creating everything from fire pokers, skewers steak turners, blades, cooking utensils, pendants keychains, you name it!!! Want something made for you, just ask one of them and you will happily be accomodated, it will be forged before your eyes.
